I Don’t Like My Little Brother’s Wife—What Should I Do?

I’m forty and living with my twenty-seven-year-old little brother—a tough situation on its own, but made completely unbearable by his wife.
She’s twenty-six, a choice I still see as a huge mistake. To me, she’s just a country girl—and that’s putting it lightly. No real education, no culture, no finesse. She works as a low-level secretary with zero ambition, and at home it’s the same story: terrible organization, tasteless cooking, no elegance, no presence, no poise—absolutely nothing that screams “worthy of the man she married.”
Physically, it’s a disaster. What shocks me most is that she’s not even a first-time mom, yet her body looks completely neglected—big, saggy belly, stretch marks everywhere, a careless silhouette, like she decided early on she didn’t need to put in any effort. I haven’t had kids myself, of course, but when I compare her to my brother’s colleagues’ wives—who’ve been through pregnancies—the difference is night and day. They carry themselves with style, dignity, and presence that commands respect.
I firmly believe my little brother deserves so much better—a refined, elegant, cultured woman with style and grace.
I even know someone I’d like to introduce to him. But there’s the problem: I can’t convince him to leave his wife and let me finally show him the kind of woman he truly deserves. Meanwhile, I’m stuck living with a situation that annoys me more and more every day.
